Salmon Sinigang
Ingredients:
6 cups water
1 Roma tomato, cut into wedges
½ medium onion, cut into wedges
1 radish, about 10 to 12 ounces, sliced
1 ½ pounds salmon fillet
1 pouch 40 grams Sinigang mix (Knorr Tamarind soup mix)
4 green peppers
8 okras
10 pieces sitaw (snake beans), cut into 2-inch length
1 tablespoon patis (fish sauce)
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
4 heads bok choy, stalks with leaves detached from base root
Instructions:
Boil water in a cooking pot. Add tomato and onion. Cover and cook for 1 minute. Add radish, cover and cook for 3 minutes. Add salmon fillet, stir gently, cover and cook for 3 minutes. Add the sinigang mix and stir. Put the green pepper, sitaw and okra, then stir. Cover and simmer for 3 minutes. Season with patis, salt and ground pepper. Stir and turn up the heat, then add bok choy. Cover and cook for 3 minutes. Turn off the heat. Let it stay covered for at least 5 minutes before serving.
